John has hust returned from Africa where he visited his brothers he had not seen for four years. He has recently completed his education at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. He gave us a report on his commitment to Unicef and his responsibilities as a Unicef Ambassador. His recent work in Malawi included making the lives of children better and supporting issues that are preventable. John has been mentored and supported by club member Bob Cairns - another glaring example of "Service Above Self" -- Thank You Bob!
GUEST SPEAKER -- Carol Cassella Best Selling Author and Anesthesiologist
"The Creative Process and Finding Creativity Through It"
Thought provoking insight into how the brain functions during the creative process. The examples and studies she cited including reknown Jazz pianist Keith Jarrett's jazz improvisations helped describe how the brain functions at times of high creativity. Carol's advice for those prone to creativity: "Be very present in the moment" and "Do not be judgemental or beat yourself up".

She has authored two and a half books:
